HISTORY
We have come a long way from our humble beginnings in our Cookley factory to global leadership in wheel innovation and sustainability.

1650

John Knight rented a forge at Cookley on land belonging to Sir Edward Sebright.
1815

Tinplate works began. The two tinning pots were named after the heroes of the day Nelson and Wellington.
1904

Under the ownership of the Chaddesley Manufacturing Company, Dreadnought steel wheels were manufactured laying the foundation for present activities.
1950’s

The first earthmover wheels were produced under licence for Goodyear. The company was predominantly a multi-piece truck wheel and presswork manufacture.
1970’s

Our first ever export order. Multipiece truck wheel production ceased and single piece manufacturing started.
1995

Bought by Titan Wheel International of Quincy USA. The new company was called Titan Steel Wheels Limited and became the biggest earthmover wheel plant in the world.
2008

Our groundbreaking single piece crane wheel received the Queen’s Award for product innovation
2010-2020

The introduction of CNC machinery to enhance the speed and accuracy of our engineering whilst eliminating unnecessary waste. Significant $2 million investment in MFDC welding machinery to reduce our energy usage.
